Unit 12 is about teaching productive skills, it’s speaking and writing (including games). In the first part of this unit we have a clear definition of accuracy and fluency, their importance. We also have different activities and techniques to encourage students to speak in the classroom. The second part is about writing skills. In this part we have the importance of handwriting for a number of students especially not natives, the importance of spelling in writing, the importance of punctuation, we also have the importance of creative writing for students and how to teach these skills. At the end of the unit, we have a section talking about games in the classroom with some very useful games weblinks.
