During this unit I learned about different forms of past tense words and sentences. In past simple form, it is important to remember that some verbs are irregular and cannot be changed to have an -ed or -d to the end, such as \"do\". In past continuous, the sentence needs the auxiliary verb was or were in order to express a past action. For past perfect sentences, the verb had is used to represent actions that occur in the past. Finally, past perfect continuous sentences use both \"had\" and \"been\" to show a action or situation that was going on continuously up to the past moment that is being described in the sentence.
