I find that teaching reported speech can be difficult. This unit helped me make more sense of how this can be taught. In thr past I've found it hard to verbalise to students how to do it properly. Since I have spoken English since a young age, it's something that is learned naturally and not necessarily in thr classroom. It was good practice for me as well to go over this unit. The many different types of condional sentences is fairly easy to teach, as I find in every day conversations, we tend to use zero, first and second condional the most. A lot of non - native English speakers do not used mixed condional very often.
