This lesson has taught me that there are many ways to reduce teacher talk time. As a teacher you can use visual aids, gestures, and asking the students to explain to you the directions in order to reduce your talk time. The lesson was also helpful because it taught me how to formulate instructions that the students can follow. I think the tips on how to give instructions was very helpful because now I know that I should use simple language, be consistent, and can use visual clues. I think good rapport is an important concept between the students and teacher. It will also help reduce problematic behavior in the classroom.
