Unit 13 was about how to teach pronunciation and phonology to students. Although often neglected by teachers, pronunciation is very important for understanding as the stress or intonation of words can completely change its meaning. It can be difficult to notice the sounds, however teachers can use visuals, phonemes, and demonstrations with their own mouth as techniques to help students understand individual sounds. There's no strict method to teaching it, however for me personally I believe dedicating a certain time in a lesson to pronunciation work will give students time to practice whilst also learning other material.
