Unit 20 discusses how to trouble shoot common problems teachers of foreign students may encounter in the classroom coupled with recommendations for dealing with these problems. Thus, the unit initially discusses teaching and establishing rapport with new and existing groups via conducting the first lesson. The unit also discusses some of the concerns teachers may encounter with large classes and how these concerns may be addressed. The unit further discusses students using their native language in the classroom in lieu of English, and how to deal with reluctant students who do not talk or participate in the classroom.
