Unit 15 discusses Evaluation and Testing. There are different ways to assess a student's language level including Tutorials, Evaluation by students, and tests. Tests are used as tools to determine placement or the student's level of knowledge of the new language at the time of entering the course, Diagnostic tests are used in a similar role as the placement tests, progress tests are used to determine one's progress in the course, and practice tests to continue monitoring progress. Additionally, General External Examinations are conducted if desired as a means of certification for Scholastic and business preparedness.
