This unit tackled the modal auxiliary verbs with their usages. For instance, for polite requests we can use 'can,may,could', while for prohibition or obligation we use 'must,must not', but for moral obligation we use 'should-ought to'. For teaching modal auxiliary verbs, the teacher can do role-play activity so that a student could be a doctor and the other is a patient so the conversation between them requires using polite requests or prohibition and which lead the students to use questions and phrases using modal auxiliary verbs.Also using signs could help much in using modal verbs such as ''You must not park here!''.
