Unit 18 was full of new information for me regarding modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. These are all English grammar topics not covered in-depth in regular language arts curriculums in the States. As a teacher in Illinois, these are grammar topics we do not teach to elementary children. As an English speaker, they are also grammar topics we do not acknowledge or pay attention to on a daily basis. Therefore, they are a little more difficult to grasp and teach. The teaching ideas found at the end of each section are going to be very helpful and important for me to use when I teach these concepts to students abroad.
