Unit 4 looked at the types of materials in the class. These can include worksheets, flashcards (visual objects), articles, pens, paper, white board markers, and audio aids. Basically everything the teacher would need to follow a lesson plan. The unit also highlighted the importance of the lesson plan as a working document to use as a guideline and a point of reference. Authentic material (not produced for classroom purposes) and non-authentic material (made specifically for teaching purposes) were covered and the importance of introducing some authentic material to the class in order to boost confidence in students.
