This unit covered future tenses. There are four main different varieties of future tenses: future simple, future continuous, future perfect and future perfect continuous. There is also the 'going to' form of future tense. Future simple seems to be the most common and this would be used to express future facts and certainties, promises, predictions that are based on no present evidence, assumptions or speculations, spontaneous decisions and threats. The future simple form and 'going to' form can often be confused so it is important to go over the differences of these two forms to avoid common mistakes many students make.
