Unit 7 Teaching New Language discusses the topics needed to teach students when learning a new language; vocabulary, grammar and functions. The unit also shares the four things students need to do with new language; be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how it's constructed and be able to practice it and produce it. The ESA methods discussed give the teacher a range of ideas they can use in the classroom in order to introduce the new language. The ESA method the teacher decides to use mainly depends upon what the lesson's target is. This unit was helpful in giving ideas for each stage of the ESA methods.
