Every good and effective lesson should be divided into small sections. I decided to analyze the part where teacher builds up a relationship with his students using laugh and a good mood. This article is about different interactive games we can play during our class. I would like to focus on group of 5 and more children who are over 10 years old. I chose the games which don't need to use a lot of extra tools. The first game is called “Guess What?”. All children sit in the classroom. Teacher tells one of them to go out of tle class and wait there until he will call him back. Children have to choose one interesting thing in the classroom and one student will write it on paper. When the student comes back to the room, he must ask simple questions to find out what object did his classmates choose. For examples - Is it big? Is it yellow? Can we eat that?, etc. To make it harder teacher can set the limit of 20 questions. Children are able to answer only “yes/no”. This game help practice vocabulary, observation skills and grammar. Our second game is called “Pizza Time”. Teacher prepares food-related picture cards. He can let children cut them int onice shapes and after he laminate different vegetables, fruits, sweets etc. Children create groups and sit around the table. They act as they are at the restaurant. Teacher or one of the students pretends that he is a waiter. Every table has 1 min to order pizza with different ingredients from the pre-made menu. The winner is the table with the best, funniest or the most weird pizza. This is based on teacher or reactions of his students. The third game is “Washing day” game. Similar to the Pizza time game, we also have pre-made cards and a fake washing machine. We have different pictures of clothes and cards with vocabulary. We have string and clothes pegs. We can put the string on the wall/window/table and pretend we need to dry our clothes. Children stand in a circle and one by one they put their hand into washing machine. After they pick up some clothes, they need to assign them to the text they belong to and hang them together on the string. Every student has 30 seconds or more to find as many clothes-vocabulary pairs as possible. The fourth game is a memory game called “Pass pass my cat”. In this game, all children sit together with their teacher in a circle and the teacher says a basic sentence, for example “I have a cat”. Next turn is a student on the left side. Student has to repeat previous sentence and add adjective, another noun or verb to the sentance. If the student can’t repeat, he is out of game. The winner is the student who can remember all previous sentences. The last game is also focused on memory. Teacher puts flashcards on the table so everybody can see them. After all children repeat the vocabulary, they have to close their eyes and teacher picks up and hide one card. After that students have to find out which card is missing. Who knows it first can switch his place with the teacher and continue playing. The student will hid one card and waits until somebody knows the answer. This game is great not only to practise their memory but also can let child to be a leader. It can help to fight with shyness. It is important to increase children's interest in learning a foreign language, which can be achieved not only through writing, reading, listening but using interactive games, too. The role of the teacher is to show students that learning can be fun.
