The first unit outlines the qualities and roles of both good teachers and students, as well as their harmonious interaction. From this unit I have learned that a good teacher is not just a professional educator with good command of the language and clear pronunciation. A good teacher should also inspire and motivate students. Most importantly, what I feel I learned is that there are many different roles the teacher can assume during classes. However, a good is not the one that have mastered one role perfectly, but the one who is able to switch between those roles to adapt the situation in the classroom and the students.
