This unit went over various theories, methods, and techniques that are commonly used in teaching English language-learning students. It talked about the pros and cons of most methods, and it encouraged us to use a variety of these teaching methods, rather than relying on a few, possibly making our teaching methods stale. This unit also heavily focused on the three stages of learning that should take place in the classroom: engage, study, and activate. Fully understanding the purpose of these stages and how they should be utilized will give us the strong teaching tools and framework we need to succeed in the classroom.
