This unit focused on the three main topics within teaching teaching a new language: Vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions. It explained the best ESA structures to use for these topics and gave many examples of appropriate tasks within each ESA phase. It listed some of the main points to consider within each topic as well as what the students may struggle with. I feel as though this unit was extremely helpful in giving me some practical guidance on teaching english. I think that it is really beneficial to not just get theory guidance but also to receive ideas that can be directly applied to a lesson.
