To gauge student's level a good teacher should know when and how to evaluate them. This is why this unit was focused on Evaluation and testing. In fact, there are many ways to assess a student's language level, such as Tutorials, Evaluation by the students and Tests. Concerning tests, we can mention: Placement tests, Progress tests, Diagnostic tests, Practice tests, General External Examinations and Cambridge Assessment. To conclude, I will say that, evaluating students is always important because it helps the teacher for example, to know if the lesson is well absorbed or not, how to assist the weakest students, etc...
