Before this lesson, I only thought of writing as part of the Study phase, when filling in worksheets. But it is now obvious how much writing (especially creative writing) will help the students cement what they are earning. Fluency is typically thought of in speaking, but when students have the time to think about what they are putting to paper, it will reinforce the thought process, making them able to use those processes in speaking later. As a big proponent of games, I will be sure to come up with fun and exciting ways to reinforce the lessons while stimulating their imaginations, and possibly their competitiveness.
