While I think the most beneficial academic time is in student-student and teacher-student class time, tests have their own place in the educational system. This unit was good because it highlighted the needs for different types of tests throughout the year. Not that students should have to deal with tests every day, but rather that tests help teachers figure out how to better the students' educational experience. This is especially true with diagnostic tests which will allow teachers to plan future lessons based on individual students strengths and weaknesses. I thought that was the most important aspect in this unit.
