This unit provided examples of actual lessons. The students were not receptive to the first lesson, mainly because they likely felt intimidated by the instructor. The instructor began the class by using confusing grammatical terms that the students were not familiar with, and this impression set by the instructor led to an unsuccessful lesson where students were reluctant to participate. However, in the second lesson, the instructor used relatable terms, mimed the instructions, and was more patient with the students, which allowed for better rapport and for the students to feel more comfortable participating in class.
