Similar to the last lesson which was on the core receptive language skills, this lesson focuses on the two core productive language skills, which are speaking and writing. These two core elements are key to effective language acquisition. These are two equally important parts of learning a language, though as the lesson points out well, writing is generally a skill that is not focused on during class for a multitude of reasons. Nonetheless, the unit gives teachers good ideas for teaching these key skills, providing potential excersises in order for students to develop their English language utility and comfortability.
