The first lesson is painful to watch! The students look so bored and the teacher does not look much better because he is dour, unresponsive, and unengaged. I was struck by how much he avoided eye contact, especially, as well as how he pointed with his finger and said \"You.\" It was a relief when he began with a smile in the second lesson, used his entire hand to gesture, and made an effort to learn his students' names. It was gratifying to see how much more the students enjoyed the second lesson and learned so much more as well. I hope never to recreate the first lesson. I hope all my lessons are like the second one.
