This unit helped me clarify some of the concepts of the ESA structure. I believe I now understand how the ESA model works and the different activities I can use in the different phases. The engage and study phases seem to overlap a bit in this example. It was interesting to see the reaction of the students between both lessons, from being confused and intimidated in lesson one to being comfortable, relaxed and eager to participate in lesson two, mainly because the teacher's took time to establish rapport, spoke slowly and clearly and used a lot of miming. I found explanations in lesson 2 were very clear and concise.
