Teach English in Wufushan Zhen - Shangrao Shi

Unit 10 Video lessons show two English grammar lessons. First lesson, was a straight ESA lesson, the teacher did not warm up the class prior to the beginning of the class (engage stage). Students appeared isolated. In the study stage, teacher explained the main concept by asking few questions (you can turn right, you can't turn left). I observed from the video lesson that students did not fully understand the contents of the worksheet as detailed explanation and instruction was not given by the teacher. While students were doing their worksheets, teacher did not monitor students individual work. I anticipate that teacher could not determine who did the work correctly or incorrectly therefore leading to a poor feedback. However, in the second lesson, teacher used drill questions to make students understand the content well. During the study stage, teacher also corrected student's pronunciation through choral drilling. In the activate stage, the bingo game was used to help students use the language learned in their own way. I noticed from the lesson video lesson that almost all the students to were interactive in the course of the lesson. It would be better if both lesson leads more teacher to student interactions.
