Unit 14 examines whether or not a textbook should be used and what kind of materials should be chosen. It also mentions the two groups of materials that teachers can use such as authentic materials and created materials. The latter includes flashcards, word search puzzles, crosswords… Then, there is a brief idea about course books, their best usage, their advantages and disadvantages, and how they can be supplemented or replaced by other materials. I have learned that teachers need to adapt the materials to the students' needs.
