As I have said before, the choice of course books in the situation I envisage (teaching in China) is completely out of the teachers hands. The course books I have seen and used are older and mostly out of date. This applies to both the private and public sectors. Handouts also seem to be in short supply possibly due to the cost of photocopying / printing and the fact that there are up to 50 students in a class. This module, whilst moderately interesting, would have little bearing on a teachers life in China.
