I learned that there are 4 basic skills in any language and, in this unit, learned more about receptive skills (reading and listening). All are equally important and should be incorporated into each lesson for balance. I learned different techniques and activities to use in the classroom setting and to ensure a variety of topics that will be of interest to my students so that they are more engaged in learning. As always, to make sure that the level of what they are learning is appropriate or to do pre-learning to make sure the vocabulary they need is learned.
