In this Unit, we learned two receptive skills which are reading and listening , they are as much important as productive skills.We have different reasons for these two skills, one is for purpose and the other is for entertainment, so we have different motives which will affect us how to learn English. We also have different way how to do reading and listening, sometimes we just scan for specific information or skim for general ideas, but we can predict by reading headlines also, for detailed information or deducted from the materials, there are so many functions of reading and listening. As a teacher, we need to know how to teach these skills by preparing suitable material and pre-teaching, choose right tops and create interests are also essential, with right task to reinforce comprehension is vital.
