In this lesson I got to observe a classroom tefl environment. I got to observe not so good teaching techniques and also very effective teaching techniques. I think this is really helpful because I can refer to this to imitate the teacher's techniques and organization of the class when I am first starting as a teacher. I can also take note of his use of gestures and time. The teacher in the second lesson assures understanding of the class if they are about to start an activity and thoroughly explains concepts and checks for understanding. In the second lesson he uses people's name and an open handed gesture to elicit a response from them politely. His attitude, gestures and engagement of the whole entire class makes it for a comfortable learning environment for all the students, unlike the example in the first video.
