As I have progressed up the ladder of education, I have found that the teachers I have experienced focused on presenting the class material exacting as it was stated in the book. I had no motivation to go to class since I could read the chapters in the book at any point. Cooper's that 'An idiom can have a literal meaning, but its alternate, figurative meaning must be understood metaphorically.'
