TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Fausat
In this TEFL review video, ITTT graduate Fausat completed the 120-hour TEFL course. Fausat found the course units to be clear and well organised in a way that anyone can understand. She recommends the course to anyone wanting to teach English abroad or to improve their teaching skills.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
This unit discussed future tenses, as well as what they were and when English speakers use them. The unit also had example sentences for each tense which I found helpful, because I was able to see the sentence structure for each tense. The unit stated that the future tense of the English language is very complex, and I found that to be true. Growing up as a North American and a native English speaker I thought there was only one future tense! Today I learnt that I was entirely wrong! I feel more educated about my own native tongue now! I also learned that one can role play to teach tenses!Speaking amd writing focus on students' use and production of the language. Speaking and writing are unique in their challenges, and need to be used in different ways to train different skill sets associated with them. For example, speaking revolves around being both fluent and accurate, with either skill drawing on the other for its success. Training for accuracy, is usually a study-focused activity, as would be purposeful and individual writing. Fluency and creative writing allow students to apply what they have learned in the study phase to their experimental production of the language.
