TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Gilber
Gilber tells us in this TEFL review that he really enjoyed his TEFL course with ITTT and found that it opened up new possibilities for his teaching that he had not realised before. Whether you have already been teaching for some time or you are just starting out, ITTT's TESOL TEFL courses are ideal for learning new skills or refreshing old ones.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
A short and sharp unit that gave me more resources and ideas than I have ever had before, and I searched the internet a lot for free teaching resources the last two years. I believe the section on online resources was the most beneficial for me and I appreciate the placement of this unit towards the end of the course as we get closer to the finish and possible teaching in a live classroom. I especially liked Sarah and John's TEFL Pitstop and Dave's ESL Cafe. I do wonder if, given it is 2017, some of aids mentioned, such as the cassette recorder and dvd player, are a bit outdated for the times. This unit talked about the conditionals and reported speech. It introduced zero conditional all the way to third conditional and also mixed conditional. I really enjoyed learning about some of the teaching ideas. Complete the conditional is an excellent way to have the students be creative and at the same time show what they know. Chain conditionals would be excellent for a warm up to get the students thinkin about conditions and their consequence. Reported speech talked about the difference between direct and indirect speech. Some of the teaching ideas such as media interviews sound very fun.
