TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Marija
Marija from Serbia, having completed a degree in English, wanted to take her TEFL course with ITTT to increase her employment opportunities. In this TEFL review, Marija tells us how she found the course to be very well organized and really appreciated the way the course showed her how to take the elements of teaching theory covered in the course and put them into practice. Marija recommends the course to anyone without teaching experience to enhance their knowledge of English language teaching and to gain confidence in the classroom.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
This unit started with an overview of some general traits that make for a good teacher. Patience, knowledge and ability to motivate being among those traits. It also covered roles such as manager, model, tutor and facilitator. These roles cover many of the subsets of activities that a teacher may find themselves performing throughout a class. The latter half of the unit covered what makes a good student. A willingness to accept instruction and admit their own lack of knowledge is key. The unit concluded with describing the different ability levels that your students can generally be divided into.
