The island of Bali is considered the “gem of South East Asia’ and each area on the island offers a unique experience. Sanur is our choice location to host the TESOL course for a number of reasons. Firstly, it has a much more relaxed atmosphere than other parts of the island. It offers a good mix between having some focus on tourist activities and attractions, but also a more realistic idea of day-to-day life and the culture of Bali.

We feel Sanur is the perfect place to offer teachers a month-long stay in Bali as you can easily get to some of the more touristy areas, but allowing a more affordable base for teachers over the course of the month; Sanur maintains a village feel. Sanur is known for its long stretches of white beaches, strings of colorful juking fishing boats along the shore and galleries and restaurants that celebrate the best parts of the culture. It's an ideal spot for a peaceful TEFL course and a leisurely Bali experience.

The School

The schools for the teacher practicum vary each month but typically consist of a mix of NGOs and vocational schools (SMKNs) in Bali. Trainees conduct teaching practice across diverse classes, spanning from K1 to Adult learners. The TEFL course in Bali has complete freedom in shaping the curriculum and utilizes high-quality course books as the primary reference.

The accredited course in Bali is operated by an independent organisation that issues its own certificate on completion of the course.

Course Information: 140 Hour In-class Internationally accredited TESOL

The TESOL course in Bali, offers both practical training and classroom sessions to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to teach English to non-native speakers. Your TEFL certificate indicates that it includes observed practical lessons – the preferred requirement for schools worldwide.

You receive your certificate on the last day of the course, along with a letter of recommendation and a detailed report to show prospective employers.

There is no final examination that determines your pass grade. Your final course result is determined by the combined marks of the assignments, as well as by your participation and teamwork in class, attendance and behavior.

A grade of at least 70% is required in order to pass the course. More than 50% of this grade is made up of marks for teaching practices. Trainees are awarded with either a 'pass', 'merit', 'high merit' or 'distinction'. All graduates receive a report, and those who obtain a merit or higher, are also presented with a personalized letter of reference.

Accommodation

KUBU TAKO

Private rooms with an ensuite bathroom and small kitchenette. This property is not within walking distance of the training centre, but is very close to the beach in a pleasant area of Sanur. A private room is IDR 5.5mil (approx US$370). This option includes arrival airport transfer.

TAMAN BALI

Private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The bigger rooms have a small kitchenette. All the rooms are very spacious. A large room is IDR 6.5mil (approx US$440), and a small room is IDR5.5mil (approx US$370). This option is a short seven-minute walk from the TEFL training centre and includes arrival airport transfer.

BIG PINEAPPLE

Private (double bed) and shared (bunk bed) accommodation with ensuite and common bathrooms, subject to availability. A private room is IDR 6.5mil (approx. US$440) and includes arrival airport transfer. The rooms have a shared kitchen and dining area. The Big Pineapple is within walking distance from the

training centre but you'll have to cross a busy road.

JEGES HOUSE

Modern private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a small kitchenette. The property offers weekly housekeeping, linen and towel change weekly, high-speed internet, a garden area and swimming pool.

A private room is IDR 5.5mil (approx US$370), and includes arrival airport transfer. Walking distance from the training centre but across a busy road.

JUKUNG 2

Private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. There is a small, shared kitchenette area with two gas burners and a fridge. A private room here is IDR 6.5mil (approx. US$440), including arrival airport transfer. This option is a very short five-minute walk from the TEFL training centre.

Course fees

The total price is divided into: deposit and balance.

The deposit may be paid via a) credit card b) Paypal c) wire transfer d) Western Union.

The balance of the course fee must be paid by cash, PayPal or bank transfer directly to the training center on the first day of the course.

Accomodation Fees

The accommodation fees are not part of the course price and you are free to choose whichever accommodation option you prefer.

If you choose to use our accommodation, it should be paid for either by cash, PayPal or bank transfer directly to the school at the start of the course.
